Data Center & HQ Relocation
European Distribution Center
Regional Facility Operation
Waltham , Massachusetts
97,000 square feet
Drawing opportunity from the depressed real estate market, Phase Forward decided to relocate its headquarters operations; the centerpiece of which was a 10,000 square foot data center. Their challenge was to complete the relocation with only 10 days between the departure of the previous tenant and their move-in. To deal with that challenge Phase Forward selected C.R.E.SOURCE as their relocation manager.
C.R.E.SOURCE formulated a plan to integrate the data center relocation with the infrastructure upgrades and building renovations. C.R.E.SOURCE’s knowledge of the local building market brought value to Phase Forward by identifying qualified resources that were able to respond to the tight construction timeframes and program changes. C.R.E.SOURCE managed the vendor selection process and administered contractor performance. Against a project control budget prepared by C.R.E.SOURCE, all project spending was managed and regularly reported to senior financial management. C.R.E.SOURCE supported the move process with a hands-on effort throughout the entire move weekend. This effort included directing mover activities, coordinating with landlord service staff and mobilizing emergency contractor responses. C.R.E.SOURCE served as the central communicator on the Phase Forward project team.
The relocation was achieved with minimal disruption and maximum system continuity. Phase Forward vacated their existing leased space as required by their business plan. After move-in C.R.E.SOURCE directed the closeout, corrective work, and warranty repairs.
Phase Forward’s headquarters and data center relocated to efficient new space on time, within budget and without service interruption. C.R.E.SOURCE managed the timely closeout of project activities and final accounts.
