With an existing lease expiring and the real estate market in decline, edocs saw an opportunity to upgrade its space and reduce long term operating expense. Their new space had been identified but the lease contract and fit-up program had stalled. To get its relocation program back on track, edocs selected C.R.E.SOURCE as their project manager and relocation consultant.
Immediately upon engagement, C.R.E.SOURCE completed the permitting process, established an Owner’s team, formulated a decision making process and selected a building contractor. edocs made the critical decisions necessary to move the project forward and construction began. C.R.E.SOURCE developed the master project schedule and project control budget. We managed the fit-up construction, negotiating changes and authorizing contract payments. C.R.E.SOURCE also managed landlord communications, reviewed contract documents and established a reporting program for senior management. C.R.E.SOURCE rapidly became an integral and trusted part of the edocs management team.
edocs relocated its headquarters and corporate data center over two weekends while maintaining operations and system continuity throughout. The entire relocation program was completed on schedule and within the project budget. The relocation allowed edocs to vacate their existing leased space before its lease expiration, avoiding holdover expenses and penalties. C.R.E.SOURCE developed the remediation and clean-up plan for the existing lease, sold excess assets and managed the exit program. After move-in C.R.E.SOURCE directed project closeout, corrective work, and warranty repairs.
